Elton John was born on March 25, 1947 in London, England. When he was only three years old, he took piano lessons, and since his father was an old trumpeter, he turned to music at a young age. When he was 11, he started to study at Royal Academy of music as a scholarship. After nearly seven years of studying here, he dropped out of school to focus on his music career. During his youth years, he played piano in a bar and was first assigned to his career.

In the early 1960s, he took his first step into professional music and participated in the Eurovision contest on behalf of England. In 1976, Kiki performed a duet with Dee for the song ”Blue moves” and became famous worldwide. In 1990, he was in rehab because of alcohol addiction and was treated for a while. Elton John, who came to Turkey in 2016 and gave concerts in Antalya and has won countless Music Awards, married David Furnurn in 2014.
